What are you chasing?

Steve Jobs

What are you prioritising - success or happiness?

Many people are prioritising success without realising it. Forgetting that professional success and wealth on their own don't lead to happiness.

It's an easy trap to fall into. Because when we're growing up we're told to work hard so we can get a good job and become successful.

Some people are able to achieve success surprisingly quickly, but in order to get there they have to sacrifice true happiness and fulfilment.

Watch the clip below from the documentary Minimalism to gain more of an understanding of what it means to prioritise happiness and why it's important.

"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful."

- Albert Schweitzer

So consider what you are really chasing and where it will lead you. Many successful people look back on their life and say 'I wish I had been happier', but few happy people look back on their life and say 'I wish I had been more successful', because success is really just a component of happiness.

Next week I am going to share an exciting tool that I have been working on to help you become happier (and more successful).
