Pulled in too many directions?
'No solution can ever be found by running in three different directions.'
Deepak Chopra.
Do you always find yourself busy, pulled in too many directions, feeling like there aren't enough hours in the day?
And even when you're not being productive, your mind is still racing through everything you need to do?
If so, you're not alone.
It took me years of personal development, studying psychology, and more than 2,000 hours of coaching to map out a pattern I kept seeing in myself and others.
I call it the Conscientious Achiever.
It's defined by two characteristics:
High Drive
Ambition, motivation, achievement, growth.
High Conscientiousness
High standards, responsibility, caring about others, wanting to do the right thing, and making the most of life.
There are many personality traits, but when these two are both high, they create a very specific type of person.
Someone who often achieves a great deal, but also creates a great deal of pressure for themselves.
Drive creates responsibility.
Conscientiousness creates obligation.
The result is a mind that struggles to switch off, relax, or feel satisfied for long.
The goal isn't to stop being ambitious or stop caring. It's to find a way of navigating life that allows you to feel calmer, enjoy what you've built, and stop feeling like you're constantly rushing towards the next thing.
