Improve your life in 30 days

99-SECOND READ

'Every morning, we get a chance to be different. A chance to change. A chance to be better.'

Alan Bonner

If you want to improve your life, start being more grateful today.

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” – Willie Nelson

Whether you refer to the teachings of Buddha, The Bible, ancient philosophy or modern applied psychology or neuroscience; Gratitude lies at the heart of a happier, healthier life.

When you become truly grateful for everything that you have:

  • You will realise how incredible your life really is
  • You will feel more positive, and your mood will be elevated
  • You will worry less about the little things

Because of this, you will see fewer risks and more opportunities. Your unconscious will filter out negative events and you’ll be more prone to notice positive ones. You will feel more energised, more confident and happier!

Your inner world creates your outer world. Gratitude makes your inner world more positive… your outer reality follows.

“He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.” – Epictetus

No matter how grateful we think we are, we can all get better at being grateful more consciously.

Please note. Being grateful isn’t about settling for what you already have - it is an important component of improving yourself and your life. While we work on achieving our goals and overcoming our challenges, it’s energising and inspiring, rather than demotivating to fully appreciate what we already have.
